Oct. 25: BC football rises to No. 2
In 2005, Boston College moved from the Big East to the ACC, and made minor bowls in both 2005 and 2006. But in 2007, the Eagles had a new coach, Jeff Jagodzinski, and he got his tenure started with a bang. The Eagles won their first eight games, including a last-minute victory at Virginia Tech. BC was ranked as high as second in the nation, and finished the season 11-3 with a 24-21 win over Michigan State in the Champs Sports Bowl.
