For the fourth time, the New England Revolution made it to the MLS Cup, spurred on by Taylor Twellman (16 regular-season goals) and Steve Ralston (league-leading 14 regular season assists). However, as they had each of the three times before, the Revolution failed to capture the crown, falling to the Houston Dynamo.
