In his third season with the Celtics, Allen seemed to be coming into his own (11.5 ppg) before enduring a freak injury against the Indiana Pacers on Jan. 10. Trying for a superfluous dunk, Allen landed awkwardly and tore the ACL in his left knee.

"I'm running. I'm shooting jump shots, but I'm just taking it easy because some days it feels good and some days it feels bad," Allen told the Globe in early July.

Allen's salary for 2007 is $1.03 million.
