Halfway through the 2002-03 season Allen was sent to Seattle with Ronald Murray and Kevin Ollie in exchange for Gary Payton and Desmond Mason. In Seattle Allen enjoyed the best years of his career. He never averaged less than 23 points per game, and he finished his last year on the Sonics scoring 26.4 points per game.
