Big Shots for December 8, 2009

This week Big Shots crawls through the mud at the Mud Run Race in Peats Ridge, Australia, dances onstage at the World Cup draw ceremonies in Cape Town, and floats above Ayutthaya, Thailand in the International Balloon Festival. There's all that and a lot more as I prepare my 100 favorite sports pictures of 2009, which I'll begin posting on Thursdays for the rest of this month. ( 34 photos total)

Interesting to see how many photographers have there hands, and are using, high ISO cameras. Wonder if the 1DIV is the cause of all this noise (no pun intended :p.

I'd guess that one of the reasons for the noise may be that these pictures end up being cropped in pretty tightly. That would end up making the noise seem pretty prominent.
