Before we kick things off and you join our in-game chat below - check out the skit above from NBC's Saturday Night Live with Tim Tebow getting a post-game talk from Jesus (Jason Sudeikis) Himself. It aired at the end of Saturday's show so you might have missed it. The Messiah, after asking Tebow to tone things down, said he "prayed to Matt Prater" and told Tebow (Taran Killam) that he only helped the Broncos in the fourth quarter. "Jesus" also had some high praise for the Patriots' QB - saying "If I'm the Son of God then Tom Brady has to be his nephew." The highlight of the skit was the Lord's characterization of Bill Belichick - complete with Devil horns.
Host Jimmy Fallon also reprised his Boston-area character "Pat Sullivan" in the show's opening - complete with the Nomar shirt. Pat and "Denise" (Rachel Dratch) are now married. The video in this one is sketchy by design. If you remember the old skit, you'll get it.
Meanwhile, we'll confess our sins and admit to rooting against Tebow today. Confession is good for the soul. But that may depend on whether or not the Patriots defense can keep Tebow in check for the last 15 minutes as well as the first 45. If God did indeed create the world and Tebow in just six days, he must have saved the Patriots secondary for his day off. Meanwhile, we still have the Gronkos vs. Broncos. Our chat kicks off at 4 p.m. Sunday, the football flies at 4:15 p.m.
Don't miss it. You may regret it for an eternity.
Let us pray - for victory.
