Want to be Tim Tebow's girlfriend? Get in line
The nation is falling in love with Tim Tebow - literally.
From the newly-available Katy Perry to a college sorority girl in Texas, women across America are making the Broncos' QB the nation's most coveted bachelor. Perry's parents have gone so far as to invite him to speak at their church. "[Katy's] mentioned on more than one occasion how much she likes Tim," a source tells OK! magazine. "Katy's mom firmly believes the best cure for heartache is to quickly fall in love again ... In her mind, Tebow is the perfect guy for her daughter. He's handsome, charming, intelligent and above all, a good Christian."
Potential girlfriends are making their case across You Tube, as well. Among the most interesting and original posts was this song by Kaycee Robertson entitled "Ask Me On A Date, Tim Tebow." A self-described "youth pastor in hipster clothes," the 24-year-old resident of Minneapolis implores the Denver Broncos QB to take her out on a date. He can reach her on Twitter at @kayceerobertson. She's not alone in wanting Tebow, who is currently unattached, as a potential boyfriend or beyond and even asks Tebow to marry her (click here to read the lyrics ) - in Pig Latin after singing "You're good at football and probably everything, I glanced, and saw that you don't have a wedding ring." Robertson, who works as a Lutheran youth minister, may have to settle for being third in Tebow's heart behind Jesus and football. But she gets credit for trying and extra points for creativity. The video is 2:44 long, but you'll get the point after about a minute or so.
Also competing via You Tube for Tebow's affection is Brittany Kayla Salvesen of the Christian sorority Sigma Phi Lambda (Sisters of the Lord) at Midwestern State University in Texas. The sophomore asked Tebow to the prom earlier this week:
Then there was this post from TheNoseBleeds offering a peek at how Tebow might react if one of these dates ever really pays off (note semi-adult content in the lyrics):
The current Category 5 level of Tebowmania goes far beyond potential female suitors asking him out for a date - there are multiple Tebow raps (none yet by Bobby V.), songs and remixes posted on You Tube - including this original by KS 107.5 in Denver:
And Tebowing has swept all the way to the outer limits of the Bay State, thanks to the folks at CapeCast. Their Tebow takes what Patriots fans hope is a prophetic fall at the 1:09 mark:
All of this leaves us wondering when we'll see the "Ask Me Out To Gronk" video?
But look at the bright side. Patriots fans can counter with this - Vince Wilfork professing his love ... for some good grub:
