Lion soaks Ochocinco when nature calls
If you thought you had a rough weekend - Chad Ochocinco just might have you beat. The New England Patriots wide receiver found himself on the wrong end of the line when nature called and a lion decided to relieve itself. This was the resulting tweet from @Ochocinco - "Swear to lil 10 pound bearded baby Jesus I just got peed on by a real "Lion" I'm not lying either. And y'all wonder why I don't go out!!!!!"
He posted a photo of the feline culprit on Lockerz (at left) and no, he isn't lyin'. Among the witnesses were Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis and Ochocinco's fiancée Evelyn Lozada. The incident occurred at a Voices for Children charity event in Miami Saturday night. At times it seems Ocho can't catch a break, or anything else. And while plenty of Patriots' fans may have been "p----d off" by Ocho's lack of production last season (he only had 15 catches in the regular season and one in the Super Bowl), this proves the age-old adage that it's always better to be "peed off' than "peed on." Maybe the small "L" lions had their own bounty on Ocho? It may also be last time Ocho is targeted for the rest of 2012.
The big cat apparently aimed straight for Ochocinco's face, according to his fiancée's Tweets, and sprayed him "like a water gun." Its aim was as least as good as Tom Brady's - so to speak - and Ocho couldn't break this route in time. Lozada was not in the line of fire and managed to be spared.
Ochocinco had earlier tweeted he was wearing his "church clothes on" so that they could head straight to morning church service "from the club."
As fans responded in hilarity and disbelief, he tweeted, "I can't believe some of you find such a horrific and emotionally draining accident so funny. I'm disgusted at all of you who laughed." He then added "tonight's mishap is one of the reasons why I'm always sleep by 8:30, nothing good happens after 9pm. I love you n goodnight."
