Aurora victim, Christian Bale join Red Sox Nation

Christian Bale is way cooler than "Batman." Among the seven Colorado-theater shooting victims visited by the star of "The Dark Knight Rises" Tuesday at the Aurora Medical Center was Carey Rottman, 27, who lives in Denver. Front-in-center of the above photo - first posted on Rottman's Facebook page - is a Red Sox hat.
Rottman is from Mequon, Wisc., and just got married three weeks ago. There's no word yet on whether or not he's a Red Sox fan, but he deserves honorary citizenship in Red Sox Nation, regardless. Along with Bale. Maybe the hat just happened to be there. Perhaps it was left by Alfred, Catwoman or Brent Lillibridge on his way to Cleveland. Rottman has kept up his spirits and sense of humor despite his leg injury. On Sunday, he wrote on his Facebook page: "Just got off the phone with my boy [Peyton] Manning. What a great great guy. Thank you for the warm wishes [Peyton], I'll be rooting for you baller!!!"
Get well soon, Carey.
Well done, "Batman."
And God bless all the victims and their families.
