Steve Sabol died on Tuesday after a long fight with brain cancer. He was 69.

There are thousands of film and video samples available to show why Sabol - along with his dad, Ed, and NFL Films - left such an everlasting impact on American Sports.

One of them was called "The Brady Six" (above) and was released last year. Those, sadly, aren't the number of Super Bowl rings won by America's Alpha Dog, but rather the numbers of quarterbacks taken ahead of Tom Brady in the 2000 NFL draft. He was the 199th overall pick, chose in the sixth round by the Patriots out of Michigan. "What the hell do these people know," Brady says.

Another one of Sabol's masterpieces, at least for Patriots fans, is 2011's "A Football Life: Bill Belichick." The documentary chronicled the 2009 season, Belichick's 35th in the NFL, from its start in a fishing boat off the coast of Nantucket to its inglorious finish at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC divisional playoffs.
