John Axford was signed by Terry Francona's Cleveland Indians this offseason for $4.5 million with the hope that he might become the Tribe's closer.

Well, Axford threw the first perfect game of 2014 on Sunday night by correctly predicting 18 Oscar winners on his Facebook page before the ceremony.

The 6-foot-5 Axford has 106 major-league saves in a brief Major League career, breaking in with the Brewers in 2009. He has a 1.42 ERA in 12.2 postseason innings and appeared for the Cardinals against Boston in the 2013 World Series.

No word if Axford has thoughts on the next Powerball drawing or if Francona plans to use him to pick scores this season.
