About the author

Obnoxious Boston Fan offers a fun, unique and biting perspective on the Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins, Patriots and whatever else people are talking about in the world of sports. We won’t hold back and neither should you.

OBF is a life-long fan of Boston teams and a journalist who worked across 3 time zones before settling in warm and sunny Florida. His career in sports began just in time for the 1986 World Series. Thanks to technology and his 24/7 passion for Beantown, he's never far from Causeway Street, Yawkey Way or Patriot Place. Born in Cambridge back in the days of black-and-white TV, OBF grew up in Greater Boston and delivered the Globe and Herald American when he was a kid.

He came to life on the radio in Central Florida last year, defending all that is good in sports from displaced New Yorkers, dispassionate Dolphins supporters, the Tampa Bay Rays fan and Rex Ryan. He’s also offered to cut Dwight Howard’s lawn, clean his pool and drive him to the airport if Superman ever decides to join the Celtics.

When you’re not glued to this blog, you can visit OBF’s website, “Like” him on Facebook, follow his tart tweets @realOBF or, if you’re really desperate, send him an e-mail..

Obnoxious Boston Fan is a featured caller on
“Open Mike” on 740-AM in Orlando
, has been covered on orlandosentinel.com, boston.com, quoted in The Orlando Sentinel and had his Facebook posts cited on "Sports Sunday with Michael Felger" on Comcast Sports New England. He also answers to “Bill” or, if you’re from anywhere in the original 617 or 413 area codes, “Billy.”
