Hernandez offers a glimpse into his workouts and the attitude that fuels them
Coming off a season in which he caught 97 passes for 1,098 yards and nine touchdowns in 17 games -- including a score in the Super Bowl -- there are plenty of people expecting that this could be even more of a breakout season for Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez. And thanks to this clip from Muscle Milk, we have a glimpse at how it has come together.
In the video, Hernandez admits that he didn't exactly know how to get himself ready for the 2011 NFL season because he and players league-wide had been locked out, so it stands to reason that with his regiment more purposefully guided this season his play could flourish. Despite earning a place in the Pro Bowl, he explains that in Foxborough especially there's no room for complacency.
"Come in out of shape and you're not ready to go, then the next person will step in," he says in the clip. "There are so many people at every position on our team, you've always got to stay on top of your game."
