Be it by Hail Mary pass, by fueling up on Flutie Flakes, or by drop-kicking an extra point, Doug Flutie had a knack for finding a way to be successful in his days as a quarterback. And apparently as a coach he found a means to victory, too:

Nail polish.

The former Natick High, Boston College, and New England Patriots signal caller offered the anecdote as part of his involvement in Dove's "Journey to Comfort" campaign, which showcases the ways in which Flutie and Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway have through the years become comfortable in their own skin as both football players and family men. The video series includes a look at Flutie discussing his famed ascension as an underdog and describing the sibling rivalry between he and his brother, as well as a clip with Elway talking about how he likes to embarrass his kids by dancing in front of their friends -- complete with some silly still shots of the Bronco legend-turned-executive tearing it up.

There's also the video below, where Flutie and Elway show you they can still throw the ball a little bit. (And the visual effects editors show you they can make that ball do anything they want.)
