Red Sox slugger David Ortiz broke baseball's all-time record for hits by a designated hitter on Thursday night in Seattle, and while the rest of the major leagues seemed to be using its Twitter influence to sway tweeters in the vote for the final spot on the AL and NL all-star rosters, a few of Big Papi's Boston teammates took a break from Koji Uehara's #HighFiveCiti campaign to salute No. 34.
