at Greenville Drive – Justin Haley (0-1, 1.89 ERA, 33 Ks)

NOTES: Portland’s Workman, the Red Sox 2012 Minor League Pitcher of the Year, will look to keep the ball from leaving Hadlock Field following last night’s three home run affair by Trenton. Temps are expected to dip into the 30s in Portland tonight…The Salem Red Sox kick off their season with Mickey Pena, a 2011 sixth-round pick, getting the ball in his first High-A start…The Sox system seems to be pitching rich of late, and moving to the top of the heap this spring was Allen Webster who gets his first action from the hill in Scranton tonight…The Greenville Drive will have take-two on their opening night, which was rained out on Thursday. That forced a doubleheader on Saturday, with both games scheduled for seven innings.

at Richmond Flying Squirrels – Jack Snodgrass (2012: 10-8, 4.62 ERA, 92 Ks)

NOTES: The Fisher Cats will face off against Jesse Biddle who is rated as the top rated prospect in the Philadelphia Phillies organization by Baseball America and MLB.com…The Rock Cats will start Trevor May, who was ranked as the Phillies top prospect just a year ago, prior to being traded for Ben Revere. Prior to that, the Rock Cats and Flying Squirrels must complete their suspended game from last night which was called after 3 ½ innings due to rain.
