NOTE: There will be nearly 13-feet of pitcher on display to start this game as 64 Brandon Workman faces off against 66 Deck McGuire. Workman picked up a win against the Fisher Cats last Thursday after allowing 3 runs on 7 hits and a walk in 6 innings. He struck out six in that outing and his 54 Ks on the season are tied for second most in the Eastern League. McGuire has had a nice May, going 1-1 with a 2.65 ERA in three starts. The 2010 first-rounder struck out eight Sea Dogs in a no decision last Wednesday.

NOTE: The Drive have not won a road game since they swept a doubleheader in Lexington on April 12th. Greenville is 0-11 away from Fluor Field in May. Frank Montas makes his ninth start of the season. The 20-year-old righty has a team high 41 strikeouts and has allowed only 9 walks, lowest of any Drive starting pitcher. Montas has allowed a home run in each of his last three starts.

NOTE: After enjoying their first off day in two weeks the Salem Red Sox return to action having won four of their last six games. William Cuevas makes his first start at home in May, having gone 0-2 in his last three starts on the road. One of those starts was his shortest of the season, a 3 inning loss to Winston-Salem where he allowed 6 earned runs on 8 hits, two home runs.

NOTE: Mired in their longest losing streak since May/June of 2010 (8 games), the Rock Cats (20-24) are desperate for a win. Trevor May was the second to last New Britain pitcher to record a W and he will get the start tonight for the Cats. May allowed 9 hits and 5 runs against Bowie in his last outing. He has been inconsistent this season, mixing three 4-inning performances with a three 7-inning gems.
