New Hampshire Fisher Cats –Sean Nolin (2-0, 1.17 ERA)
at Portland Sea Dogs – Matt Barnes (3-1, 4.50 ERA)
NOTE: On paper it’s a solid pitching matchup at Hadlock Field tonight as the Fisher Cats make their second trip to Portland. Sean Nolin returns to the New Hampshire rotation following his Major League debut last Friday. Against the Baltimore Orioles he allowed 7 hits and 6 runs in an inning and a third. This will be Nolin’s third straight road start for the Fisher Cats. Last Wednesday Matt Barnes went 5 innings in a no decision versus New Hampshire. He allowed 7 hits but only walked one and had 2 runs charged against him. Barnes will look to close a solid May in which he is 2-0 with a 2.25 ERA and 33 strikeouts in 28 innings.

Pawtucket Red Sox – Terry Doyle (3-4, 4.63 ERA)
at Indianapolis Indians – Andy Oliver (3-2, 2.87 ERA)
NOTE: Terry Doyle will look to rebound from his worst start of the season last Thursday when he let up 8 earned runs off of 11 hits and 2 walks versus the Louisville Bats. In a relief appearances prior to that Doyle tossed 3 scoreless innings against the Indians, striking out 3 in 3 innings. Indy starter Andy Oliver, a Pirates top ten pitching prospect, got hooked with a loss in Pawtucket last Tuesday, walking 4 and yielding 4 hits in 5 innings.

Salem Red Sox – Kyle Stroup (2-3, 4.86 ERA)
at Potomac Nationals - A.J. Cole (1-2, 4.98 ERA)
NOTE: Last Thursday Kyle Stroup got lit up for 11 hits and 6 earned runs against the Winston-Salem Dash, tying his shortest outing of the season with 3 2/3 innings of work. In his two starts prior to that he had allowed 13 hits and 3 earned runs in 13 innings. He did not face Potomac when the two teams met earlier in the season.

Savannah Sand Gnats –Steven Matz (2-2, 2.86 ERA)
at Greenville Drive – Jacob Dahlstrand (N/A)
NOTE: Jacob Dahlstrand makes his Greenville debut tonight, five days after doing the same with Salem. In his season debut (with Salem) the 6’5” righty threw 3 2/3 innings in relief, allowing 7 hits and 3 runs while striking out 4. Dahlstrand went 4-4, with a 4.42 ERA in 12 appearances with the Lowell Spinners last season.
