Several media are reporting that the White Sox have won the waiver battle for Manny Ramirez. Jayson Stark of ESPN says no National League team put in a claim for the former Red Sox slugger, but that three American League teams did.

ESPN reported one AL team was the Rangers, and that there's "strong indication" the other was the Rays.

However, the White Sox were awarded the claim because they have the lowest winning percentage of the AL teams to put in a claim.

The Dodgers can pull Ramirez off waivers and retain him, which is a possibility since they're playing better lately and not out of playoff contention. The teams have until 1:30 Tuesday to work out a deal, which would have to include Ramirez waiving the no-trade clause in his contract.
