Today's installment of Super Bowl intel from an unlikely source comes courtesy of the latest issue of The Hollywood Reporter, which is expected to hit newsstands tomorrow.
The Reporter decided to conduct a Super Bowl poll that includes general football questions. The Patriots finished second to the Cowboys in the "America's Team" category. The Steelers were third.
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had mixed results in two surveys. He was the third most-hated player this season, but also named the best player in the NFL this season. Packers QB Aaron Rodgers and Troy Polamalu tied for the most-liked player honor.
Meanwhile, the Super Bowl survey itself revealed the Packers were favored nationwide, but especially among Republicans and those in the midwest and west. The Steelers won the Democratic demographic, and dominated polling in the east and south.
One final bit of info gleaned: Men say Super Bowl Sunday is the second-biggest day of the year for them, behind only Christmas.
