Rex Ryan kicks off 2011 trash talk season
Patriots coach Bill Belichick may be off playing golf at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, but when he gets back, he's got a little newspaper clipping to do.
Less than a week after the 2010 NFL season ended, outspoken Jets coach Rex Ryan got the ball rolling for 2011 by again boasting ""there's no way we don't get it done next year," and "next year I know we'll win it."
If off-season minicamps and organized team activities happen this spring, you have to think those gems will get a featured spot on a bulletin board or two in the Patriots' locker room.
Ryan made the first comment to the New York Post while attending Friday's Lakers-Knicks game at Madison Square Garden. The second was made to MSG, also at the game.
Neither is very surprising. Ryan is famous for talking a big game, or just talking in general. He has yet to achieve any fame for backing up his talk.
