Orlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy's postgame comments following Game 4 of the Magic-Hawks series are getting a lot of play this morning.
Van Gundy was less than pleased with the closing sequence of the game, in which Orlando's Hedo Turkoglu was stripped of the ball, regained it and fired a desperation shot that missed as time expired. The Hawks won 88-85 and took a 3-1 lead in the series.
Van Gundy took some of the blame, but also wasn't letting his players off the hook in his blunt remarks in the video above or his comment in an Orlando Sentinel story below.
"I don't think we've played anywhere near to the level that we're capable of playing at," Van Gundy said. "I think we've played well below it, and as a coach, certainly I deserve a lot of the responsibility for that. I'm not running from that.
"Now it's all about playing one great game on Tuesday night. That's what it's all about. You play one great game on Tuesday night, and the whole series can change."
