Maryland lacrosse players Grant Catalino and Brian Farrell pulled off an excellent deception play in their NCAA tournament game yesterday against North Carolina, and it's a good thing it worked.

"If it didn't, I'd be really upset," their coach, John Tillman, told North Carolina's News & Observer newspaper.

Farrell faked a transfer of the ball to Catalino, who ran toward the goal as though he had the ball. Meanwhile, Farrell moved away from the action and gave the ball to another player, who sneaked around the defense for a virtually unseen goal.
