Would Randy Moss work with the New York Giants? (Jim Davis / Globe file)

With the decimated state of the New York Giants receiving corps, Randy Moss seems like a viable option to play catch with Eli Manning, writes New York Daily News columnist Tim Smith.

"Yes, it's a desperation call," writes Smith. "But those are the kind that the Giants are going to have to start making if they're interested in salvaging a season that has been ravaged by injuries."

The Giants lost Dominik Hixon to an ACL tear this past week and teammate Mario Manningham is suffering from concussion symptoms.

Smith was unable to reach Moss' agent for comment.

Do you think Moss has a comeback in mind? With the Giants? Is this columnist reaching? Would Moss even work with the Giants? Eli Manning? Let us know below.
