Former Red Sox manager Terry Francona and new Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine, who essential swapped roles this offseason, appeared together for a chat with ESPN host Karl Ravech during baseball's Winter Meetings.
Francona recently joined ESPN as part of its baseball coverage team, while Valentine left his role as an ESPN baseball analyst after being named manager.
"I didn't wait to see if he got the Red Sox job and say, 'I'm going to go grab his job,'" Francona said. "It's really ironic."
