Quarterback Tim Tebow has been traded to the New York Jets for a pair of draft picks, one in the fourth round, one in the sixth.

The Jets confirmed the move on Twitter. The Jets also receive a seventh-round pick in the deal.

Tebow, who surged to new fame in the second half of the last NFL season when he led the Denver Broncos to a series of stunning comeback victories and into the playoffs, became expendable in Denver when the Broncos signs Peyton Manning earlier in the week.
