The Charles River will be flooded with rowers this weekend at the 48th Head of the Charles regatta, but one who hit the water Tuesday sure stood out.

The Grinch was spotted rowing with Head of the Charles executive director Fred Schoch. The Grinch was in town to promote the upcoming run of the musical "How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical," which opens Nov. 23 at the Citi Performing Arts Center.

The Head of the Charles regatta will be held Saturday and Sunday, with racing beginning at 8 a.m. each day.
