Watch: Boston College mascot in new SportsCenter promo
Baldwin, the Boston College mascot dressed in an eagle costume, gets a moment in the spotlight on a new promotional video for ESPN's SportsCenter program.
Also featured is Temple's Hooter T. Owl, a humorous coincidence considering football coach Steve Addazio recently left Temple to take the same position at Boston College.
An ESPN spokesman confirmed the use of BC and Temple was a coincidence: "This spot came about very last minute as a replacement for a spot we were supposed to shoot but the athlete had to cancel due to a personal circumstance. We called around to as many bird mascots as we could find and flew in the ones who were available."
ESPN explained more about the promo in a story published Wednesday morning.
