All four lines scored goals, Tim Thomas stopped 31 saves for his second straight win, and the Bruins were an appropriately happy bunch as they made their way to their bus after the 4-1 win.
“I think it’s fun for the whole team when every line is able to contribute,” Claude Julien said. “All of them were nice goals. This is probably one of the games where I saw our team generate the most offense in this building in a long time. We scored four goals, but we had a lot of other quality chances as well.”
Thomas was at his best in the first period, when the Devils put 11 pucks on goal.
“I’m feeling good,” said Thomas (31 saves). “I’m feeling awesome. I’m having fun.”
* Jordan Caron scored his first NHL goal when he banged home the rebound of a Johnny Boychuk shot. Caron said it was a great feeling to notch his first against icon Martin Brodeur, a fellow Quebec native.
* Julien noted that Brad Marchand was not guilty of kneeing Dainius Zubrus. The Bruins killed off a five-on-three power play to keep the game scoreless.
