Washington dining report

One of the recent threads on Chowhound’s DC board had the following title: Dupont Circle Burger Wars. Instant hook. And prompted me last night to make my first of many judgments in this debate. First up was BGR The Burger Joint. Cheeseburger was good, but fries — not quite shoestring, but skinnier than thick-cut — were outstanding. Will continue the rounds upon the next visit.

For lunch today, went with an old favorite: Pizzeria Paradiso, also in Dupont Circle. Very tasty sausage and mushroom pizza.

Dinner is always at Full Kee, which goes against my Rink Radius Theory — that all restaurants within a slap shot of the arena are usually worth bypassing. But Full Kee, right around the corner from the Verizon Center, never disappoints. Nothing wrong with the crispy spicy pork chop, dusted with serrano peppers, onions, and scallions. Always fun to cover games down here because of the dining options.
