WILMINGTON — Good morning from Ristuccia Arena, where the Bruins are going through a rare Sunday practice in advance of tomorrow’s home game against the Devils. The Bruins are 1-3-1 in their last five games and have allowed the opening goal in all five outings. They have scored only once in the last two games, both losses to division rivals.
David Krejci is on the ice for his first practice with his teammates. Krejci is on the No. 1 line. However, during five-on-five play, Patrice Bergeron has been centering Milan Lucic and Nathan Horton. Based on Krejci’s practice limitations today, it doesn’t appear likely that he’ll be ready for tomorrow’s game.
UPDATE: Krejci said he’s feeling better every day. Krejci was not cleared for contact today, so he will not play tomorrow against New Jersey. He has yet to take the neuro-psych test that is required of players that have suffered concussions. Given the nature of head injuries, Claude Julien didn’t want to speculate on whether Krejci might be available by next weekend. Krejci said he doesn’t remember the hit, although he’s seen replays of the collision.
