VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Fresh off the plane from Boston, a select number of Bruins addressed the media at Rogers Arena before resting for Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final series.
Shawn Thornton, who didn’t get a chance to skate against the Canucks in Games 1 and 2 as a healthy scratch, said the team was right back to where it started, knotted up and ready to work hard.
“Nothing has been accomplished yet,” Thornton said. “We just evened up the series. So it’s right back to square one. I think we’ve done a good job all year of keeping our focus. So we’re going to have to continue to do that if we want the success we want.”
Asked about what it would take for the Bruins to win Game 5, Thornton said “we have to bring the same effort, if not more.”
