Bruins set for back-to-back games against Canadiens

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia – After arriving in Halifax later this afternoon, the Bruins will take on the Canadiens in the first of back-to-back matches. This will be the club’s third preseason game. The Bruins are 1-1.

Neither NESN nor 98.5 The Sports Hub will carry the game.

Below are possible lines and pairings for tonight. Some things to monitor:

* How Joe Corvo and Nathan Horton perform in their preseason debuts. Both might have some rust on the wheels. Corvo has more to learn because of his relative unfamiliarity with the club’s systems.

* Whether Jordan Caron can beat out Chris Clark for an up-front job. Caron can be assigned to Providence without clearing waivers. That, plus Clark’s veteran experience, might give the former Washington captain the edge.

* How Steven Kampfer pushes to get the No. 7 job. Matt Bartkowski has been very good so far in camp. Kampfer has shown to have more poise with the puck. This might go down to the end.
