Tommy Cross signs entry-level contract with Bruins

The Bruins have signed Tommy Cross to a two-year entry-level contract. Cross was the team’s second-round pick in 2007.

Cross will report to Providence for the team’s final weekend of play. The Boston College captain won his second NCAA title on Saturday.

The stay-at-home defenseman will most likely start in Providence in 2012-13. A high-end NHL comparable for Cross is Robyn Regehr.
