After missing Games 1 and 2 of the Bruins’ first round matchup with the Red Wings, defenseman Matt Bartkowski is back in the lineup for Game 3.
The 25-year-old had been dealing with a flu bug that also knocked Kevan Miller out of Game 1, but it appears that Bartkowski is healthy and ready to go for the first game of this series in Detroit.
Bartkowski will be playing in his eighth career playoff game, having played two games in the Bruins’ first round series with the Maple Leafs last season and all five games of the team’s second round matchup with the New York Rangers.
He has scored a goal and an assist in his playoff career, with a plus-minus of -1. He has played 84 regular season games for the Bruins since 2010-11, totaling no goals and 20 assists.
Andrej Meszaros, who played in Games 1 and 2 for the Bruins, will sit with Bartkowski taking his spot in the lineup. Fellow defenseman Corey Potter, as well as forwards Chris Kelly and Daniel Paille, were also scratched from the lineup.
