Brad Marchand Not on the Ice for Morning Skate

Bruins left winger Brad Marchand was not on the ice for morning skate ahead of the team’s second round playoff game against the Montreal Canadiens.

In Marchand’s place was Daniel Paille, who missed the first round of the playoffs after suffering a head injury.

UPDATE: 11:37 a.m. — Bruins coach Claude Julien wouldn’t comment on Marchand’s status, other than to say that the popular player “took his option.” Thursday’s morning skate was optional.
