Pierce wins Eastern Conference Player of the Week

Paul Pierce was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week today, averaging 22 points, 6.3 assists and 5.8 rebounds in four games, a testament to his returning to form. The Celtics were 4-0 this week and have won eight of nine games. Pierce is 10 points from eclipsing Larry Bird for second on the Celtics’ all-time scoring list.
