The Boston Celtics and Dave Cowens will once again team up to offer a series of basketball camps. The Celtics Cowens Camps, presented by adidas, will run for seven weeks at two locations this summer. Camps will be held at adidas-Group North America in Canton and at the Celtics training facility in Waltham. The camp schedule is as follows:
July 7-11 (adidas-Group North America – Canton)
July 14-18 (Celtics Training Facility – Waltham)
July 21-25 (Celtics Training Facility – Waltham)
July 28-August 1 (Celtics Training Facility – Waltham)
August 4-8 (Celtics Training Facility – Waltham)
August 11-15 (Celtics Training Facility – Waltham)
August 18-22 (adidas-Group North America – Canton)
The curriculum at the Celtics Cowens Camps will include low coach-to-player ratios, an equitable and competitive system of organized play, and daily emphasis on shooting, rebounding, ball handling, defensive and other fundamental skills. Each camper is encouraged to develop his or her own individual skills while also focusing on team involvement. Camp staff, along with guest lecturers from the Celtics organization, will demonstrate the game’s finer points, and the program will include a minimum of two games per day.
Camp registrations include tickets to the 2014 Celtics Open Practice event, as well as the opportunity to purchase tickets to Celtics Cowens Camps Night at the TD Garden during a regular season home game next season. For more information, go to celtics.com/camps.
