Wearing “Run 617” shirts and performing to songs inspired by Boston’s recovery from last April’s Boston Marathon bombings, the Boston University Dance Team took home the national title this past weekend at the National Cheer and Dance Alliance Collegiate National Championship.

BU won the title in the Division 1 Hip Hop category. The Terries finished second in the Division 1 Team Dance category while dancing to ”Hometown Glory” by Adele, “Shippin Up to Boston” by the Dropkick Murphy’s, and “Can’t Hold Us Down” by Macklemore”, among other songs. Over a dozen New England teams competed. In the photo above, dancers from Curry College, Endicott College, Framingham State University, Northeastern, Stonehill College, and UMass wore t-shirts as a fundraiser for the One Fund.
