The “Battle of the Bay State” gets underway at Gillette Stadium at 3 p.m., but for those Boston College and UMass fans who can’t make the trip to Foxborough, trying to find it on regular TV may be an exercise in futility.

No local or national station is carrying the game on the ole tube, but fear not! Providing you have an internet connection and a cable subscription, you can stream the game live online.

ESPN 3 will carry the live stream of the game starting at 3 p.m. at this web address. To watch the stream, login with your cable provider credentials (Comcast XFINITY and Verizon Fios customers both have access) and follow the instructions on the page.

BC enters the season looking to improve upon its 2013 season, in which it finished in a tie for third place in the ACC Atlantic Division. The Eagles wound up even with the Syracuse Orange at 4-4 in the ACC and 7-6 overall.

In their second season as an FBS football school last year, the Minutemen went 1-11 overall with a 1-7 record in the Mid-American Conference. Their only win of the year came on Oct. 12 against Miami (Ohio), who finished the year 0-12 overall and 0-8 in the MAC.
