SCOTT OBERG, Tewksbury: The Redmen ace finished his junior year with an 8-1 record and helped lead Tewksbury to the North quarterfinals in baseball; he compiled an 0.86 earned-run average with 64 strikeouts.
Next stop: University of Connecticut, Division 1.
Notable: Named MVP of the Merrimack Valley Conference, a Globe All-Scholastic, and a three-year varsity starter with a fastball that hits 90-plus miles per hour. Held North Andover scoreless in a 1-0 first-round playoff win, then bounced back to throw a one-hitter at Danvers in Tewksbury's 2-1 loss.
Coach Ron Drouin: "As outstanding a player as Scott is, he's that fine of a person. He's just a great kid. He's as good a pitcher as we've got, especially in such a strong conference. He's poised, confident, and very smart on that mound."
PAT DEVLIN, Tewksbury: The third baseman was a force in the lineup, belting three home runs, and earned Merrimack Valley Conference All-Star honors.
Next stop: UMass-Lowell, Division 2.
Notable: In a 0-0 deadlock with North Andover in the state tourney's first round, Devlin smacked a solo homer in a 1-0 win.
Coach Drouin: "Pat is an amazing athlete. He's fast and knows what to do in every game situation. I'm not surprised he's going on to college ball. He's opened doors for himself by being a strong student as well."
MIKE DELPONTE, Tewksbury: The catcher missed five games because of illness, but still managed to end his year with a .455 batting average.
Next stop: Bryant University, Division 2.
Notable: Merrimack Valley Conference All-Star and a three-year varsity starter.
Coach Drouin: "I'm so proud of how he came back from being sick. It's tough because he lost a lot of weight, and that was evident when he came back. He's a hard worker, though, and there was no stopping him from putting up gaudy numbers, even though he missed games."
ZAC ROY, Lowell: The pitcher and outfielder went 2-2 last year, with a 3.50 ERA.
Next stop: Newberry College in South Carolina, Division 2
Notable: All-conference performer and three-year varsity starter led the Red Raiders in runs (17), stolen bases (15), hits (31), and batting average (.392).
RAY WALKER, Lowell: The catcher hit .370 as a junior.
Next stop: Merrimack College, Division 2.
Notable: Led the team in slugging percentage, extra-base hits, doubles, and RBIs.
