Eagles get ready for Kent State

Boston College coach Jeff Jagodzinski said today that he is easing the Eagles into their first game of the season against Kent State on Saturday.

"I want fresh legs,'' said Jagodzinski before practice this afternoon. "We've been going at this long time. We'll do a little less tomorrow and then just go in helmets and pads on Thursday."

All the Eagles starters were at practice, including linebacker Brian Toal, who missed most of last week with soreness in his trapezius.

Jagodzinski said that sophomore running back Dan Mulrooney will probably be redshirted this season and return to his role as a safety and that he has another scholarship available with the departure of wide receiver Dominick Magazu, who left the team before training camp...Offensive left tackle Anthony Castonzo reported for practice with a Mohawk. Linebacker Mark Herzlich, who had a Mohawk last season, is working on dreadlocks this season...
