In a series of defections from the Boston College basketball team, which included swingman Rakim Sanders and guard Brady Heslip, sources familiar with the situation say that 6-10 forward Kevin Noreen, who signed a letter of intent to play with the Eagles last fall, has asked for permission to transfer.

While new Eagle coach Steve Donahue granted Sanders (who could be heading to Fairfield) and Heslip (who visited Boise State this weekend) their releases, no such release has yet to be granted for Noreen.

Noreen finished his career at Minnesota Transitions Charter School as the all-time leading scorer in Minnesota prep history and was named Minnesota's Mr. Basketball this season.
