Only four women's coaches have amassed 800 career victories in college basketball history: Pat Summit (Tennessee), Jody Conradt (Texas), C. Vivian Stringer (Rutgers), and Sylvia Hatchell (North Carolina).

Two more can join the exclusive club this afternoon: Barbara Stevens and Tara VanDerveer.

In her 25th season at Bentley, and 34th overall as a head coach (including stints at Clark and UMass-Amherst), Stevens is 799-236 overall entering this afternoon's non-conference matchup against C.W. Post at the Dana Center (2 p.m.) in Waltham.

Her Falcons (6-1, 6-0 Northeast-10)), ranked 24th in Division 2, have been idle since Dec. 8 because of exams. C.W. Post (5-3, 3-1 East Coast Conference) has suffered two of its losses to NE-10 foes, AIC and New Haven.

Bentley features four players averaging double figures in scoring: senior forward Elise Caira (13.0 ppg.), freshmen forwards Lauren Battista (11.7) and Jacqui Brugliera (10.9, and senior guard Kim Brennan (10.6)

VanDerveer will also go for her 800th win this afternoon when Stanford takes on Tennessee and Summit in Knoxville.
