SAN FRANCISCO--Although he won't say anything offically, all signs point to Boston College offensive coordinator Gary Tranquill retiring after tonight's Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl against Nevada.
When asked about it this morning, Tranquil, ,who came out of retirement two years ago to be part of Frank Spaziani's staff, smiled and said, ""talk to me in a few days.''
Another solid senior class, led by linebacker Mark Herzlich and offensive tackle Anthony Castonzo also will wrap up their college careers tonight. But both have ambitions of playing in the National Football League next season and do not be surprised if both sign with highly respect agent Tom Condon as soon as the game concludes.
