America East winding down search for commissioner

The America East search for a commissioner to replace Patrick Nehro, who left earlier this spring to become the atheltic director at George Washington is winding down. The finalists will be flown to Boston this weekend for a meet and greet with the search committee.
Boston University athletic director Mike Lynch is, according to sources at the America East, on the list as are reps from Conference USA, the Southern Conference and the NCAA. The committee hopes to have a new commissioner in place by Sept. 1.
