What I’m looking forward to this weekend:
It’s always tough to balance watching the NFL and college basketball at this time of year. Here’s what I’m looking forward to this weekend, I’ll try to see as much as I can.

Saturday
Creighton at Saint Joseph’s:
I’ve only seen Creighton briefly, I need to take in a full game and this could be good as the Bluejays come to Philly to play the improving Hawks.
Washington vs. Duke at MSG: First-game of a nifty doubleheader (Pitt vs. Okie State in Game 2). This should be entertaining and high-scoring.
Cincinnati at Xavier: One of the most bitter rivalries in the college basketball, this is good for at least two pushing and shoving matchups after players have gone to the floor for loose balls.
Loyola of Maryland at Mount Saint Mary’s: Maybe just a quick peek at my favorite nutjob coach, Jimmy Patsos of Loyola.
BYU at Utah: Another quick peek at a rivalry game that will probably be a rout for BYU. Need to gauge just how bad Utah is.
UNLV at Wisconsin: Big opportunity for Vegas to make another splash. I’m not convinced the Badgers are that good.
Ohio State at Kansas: If the Buckeyes win this one convincingly, it will be impressive. Kansas needs to prove itself and this is the chance.
Harvard at BU: Crimson need to assert themselves after losing to UConn. I don’t think that will be easy to do.
Navy at Missouri: A quick peek at my new favorite team -- Mizzou.
Villanova at Temple: I love the Big 5 rivalries, almost guaranteed to be a close game.
Kentucky at Indiana: A road game for Bingo Long and the Traveling All-Stars against an undefeated opponent.
Penn at UCLA:
Keep hearing tremendous things about Penn point guard Zach Rosen.
Boise State at LSU: The Smurphs are 8-1; have to see how good they are.
Wake Forest at Seton Hall: Always worth watching Herb Pope, a Sully’s Court favorite
Michigan State at Gonzaga: You’ve got to admire Tom Izzo’s courage for scheduling games like this.
Green Bay at Marquette:
Probably a rout for the Fightin’ McGuires but you never know, it’s a state tournament game.
Fresno State at Oregon: Never mind. By this time, looking at Oregon’s court will give me a headache.
Sunday
North Carolina Central at NC State:
I’ve been told Central is a tough unit, this should be a good measuring stick.
Stony Brook at BC: A chance for victory for the Eagles.
Murray State at Memphis: The Racers are undefeated, this could be very interesting.
Detroit at Alabama: The Titans have scheduled up and haven’t delivered. This would be a good one.
Coppin State at Illinois: Fang Mitchell’s boys on the road and I’ll be pulling for them.
