Northeastern AD named to NCAA men's basketball committee
Northeastern University's athletics director, Peter Roby, has been named to the NCAA Division I men's basketball committee, the NCAA announced Wednesday.
Roby has been Northeastern's AD the past five years. He was previously director of the school's sport in society program and an associate athletic director for student-athlete welfare.
He was also head coach of the Harvard men's basketball team for six seasons, from 1985 to 1991.
The NCAA men's basketball committee's most high-profile task is selecting the NCAA men's basketball tournament field each March.
“I am honored and humbled by this tremendous opportunity to serve the membership and represent Northeastern University,” Roby said. “I am excited to begin working on this committee.”
