A nice day here at the Heights as BC gets ready to take on an interesting Black Bears team. Here's a quick look at a few important nuggets going in. We'll try to give Eagles followers a place to come and chatter throughout the game each week. So feel free to leave comments.

Where they stand: Boston College, 0-1, Maine, 0-0.

Where to watch: ESPN3

Where to listen: WEEI

Game notes: Boston College | Maine

Series record: Tied 3-3 (BC's won the last three by 120 points).

Key players: Boston College -- QB Chase Rettig, WR Alex Amidon, OL Emmett Cleary. Maine -- WR Maurice McDonald, LB Donte Dennis, DB Kendall James.

Quote of the week:From Rettig: "It doesn't matter who it is, it's another game. It could be the New York Giants. That's how you've got to approach it. If you're not approaching it that way, then you're not going to have a good game."

Enjoy the game, and remember it's been 34 years since the Eagles lost to a Division I-AA school.
