Harvard University 20-year head football coach Tim Murphy is at home, recovering well from a medical issue he suffered this month.
The 57-year-old Kingston native, who directed the Crimson to a 9-1 record and their seventh Ivy League title last fall, is expected to return to coaching this spring.
In his absence, his coordinators, Joel Lamb (offense) and Scott Larkee (defense) will manage the program.
The winningest coach in program history (137-62 record), Murphy is 15-5 against rival Yale in The Game, with seventh straight wins, including a 34-7 victory in New Haven last November.
A Silver Lake Regional graduate, he was a four-year starting linebacker at Springfield College.
